NCCU and Durham Tech launch a new life sciences pathway, letting students transfer seamlessly, save time and money, and prepare for high-growth, high-wage careers in the state's booming life sciences industry.
The NCCU Art Museum presents "Through the Lens of Alvin Lester," a powerful exhibition showcasing the alumnus’ iconic photographs capturing history, community and African American life.
“It’s not the amount that they give,” said Susan Hester, vice chancellor of Institutional Advancement. “It’s that they are getting re-engaged with their institution.”
His 30-minute film is titled “RHD: Hidden Diagnosis.” RHD stands for right hemisphere (brain) damage. It follows a group of stroke survivors who interact with speech-language pathology students at NCCU.
“If I take your identity, then I am you,” said Deanne Cranford-Wesley, Ph.D., assistant professor and director of the Cyber Security Lab at North Carolina Central University (NCCU).
Lily Chen, a nursing department lecturer, stressed the importance of parental support and community-driven solutions for the Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities.
NCCU remembers Mr. Terrance Howard, a first-year transfer student and valued member of the NCCU football team, who passed away on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024.
