Office of the Chancellor
Chancellor Karrie G. Dixon serves as the chief executive officer for NCCU, a community of 8,579 students, 1,638 faculty and staff, and more than 47,000 alumni. As the university’s leader, the chancellor charts a visionary course for the university and leads a team of senior administrators in promoting the university’s mission as well as directing and sustaining the intellectual, fiscal, and physical health of NCCU.
The Board of Trustees serves as advisor to the University of North Carolina Board of Governors and the Chancellor and helps to guide NCCU forward toward the future.
The Business and Finance division manages the university’s money, cleans and maintains its physical plant, heats and cools its facilities, beautifies its buildings and grounds, and oversees or generates entrepreneurial enterprises that support student scholarships.
The Office of Legal Affairs provides comprehensive legal advice and assistance on matters involving or affecting the institution to the Board of Trustees, the Chancellor, other senior administrators of the University, faculty, and staff.
NCCU's Police and Public Safety Department ensures a safe and secure campus environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors through activities that include crime prevention and investigation, community service programs, traffic law enforcement, emergency management, safety training, and crowd control.
