Selection Guidelines
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
To be selected as a Chancellor's Cycle of Success Scholarship recipient, a student must satisfy all of the following criteria:
- Be admitted as a freshman into a baccalaureate program at NCCU.
- Have a minimum weighted or unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.3 on the transcript submitted with their admissions application.
- Have confirmed their enrollment at the University.
- Have completed the FAFSA.
- (Optional) Have a minimum SAT score of 1100 or ACT score of 23. (Superscores are accepted. Test scores are optional for those seeking the Chancellor's Scholarship for the 2026–2027 academic year.)
Note: To be eligible, students must have a minimum 3.3 weighted GPA on the high school transcript submitted for first-year admission into a baccalaureate program at NCCU. We strongly encourage students to apply and complete their enrollment applications early.
Scholarships will be renewed each semester contingent upon the recipient meeting all of the following criteria:
- Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.3 (Soaring Eagles and those in the University Honors Program) or 3.0 (Rising Eagle and Eagle-in-Flight).
- Enroll full-time each semester and earn a minimum of 15 credit hours each semester.
- Reside in University housing for the first year enrolled.
- File the FAFSA on October 1 of each year.
