Selection Guidelines
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
To be selected as a Chancellor’s Cycle of Success Scholarship recipient, a student must satisfy all of the following criteria:
- Be admitted as a freshman into a baccalaureate program at NCCU.
- Have a minimum weighted cumulative GPA of 3.3 on the transcript submitted with their admissions application.
- Have confirmed their enrollment at the University.
- Have completed the FAFSA.
Note: We strongly encourage students to apply and complete their enrollment applications early. The Chancellor's Cycle of Success Scholarships are awarded October 1–April 1 to qualifying admitted students.
Expectations of Recipients
Scholarships will be renewed each semester contingent upon the recipient meeting all of the following criteria:
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 (Soaring Eagle recipients) or 3.0 (Rising Eagle and Eagle-In-Flight recipients).
- Enroll full time each semester and earn a minimum of 15 credit hours each semester.
- Reside in University housing for first two years enrolled.
- File the FAFSA on October 1 of each year.
