73rd Honors Convocation

North Carolina Central University recognizes the academic excellence displayed in each college, school, department and honor society. Honor recipients will include the Dean’s List and the A and B Honor Roll students with at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA for the Spring and Fall semesters of 2021 and members of professional and academic honor societies.

Marla McGhee and Phineas Nyang'oro have been named 2022 HBCU Competitiveness Scholars by the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), a program that recognizes outstanding student performance in higher education.

UHP Advisory Council

The University Honors Program has an Honors Advisory Council of faculty members and administrators from across the university who provide insight and guidance on issues related to the welfare of the program.

UHP Application Portal

If you are awarded a Cheatham-White or Soaring Eagle Scholarship, participation in the UHP is a condition of your scholarship. All others meeting the requirements are eligible to apply after they have been admitted to NCCU.
