North Carolina Central University leadership is closely monitoring a light winter weather system expected to affect central North Carolina, including the Triangle region, from Monday, Dec. 8, into Tuesday, Dec. 9. In response to the forecast, the university will operate under Condition 1 (Reduced Operations) from midnight to 11:59 p.m. on Monday. All final exams scheduled for Dec. 8 will be held virtually.

What Is the Cheatham-White Scholarship?
The Cheatham-White Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship program for students attending North Carolina Central University and N. C. Agricultural and Technical State University beginning Fall 2018. This program was designed to provide an outstanding educational experience for exceptional scholars who have a wide range of interests, are proficient in both the arts and sciences, and demonstrate leadership potential and a strong commitment to service.
Cheatham-White is a fully funded four-year scholarship. The scholarship covers full tuition and fees, housing, meals, textbooks, a laptop, travel, and personal expenses. Each scholarship also provides four summers of fully funded enrichment and networking opportunities that may include international travel and study. Applicants do not have to be residents of North Carolina.
