A $55,000 gift from the Tom Joyner Foundation powers student success at NCCU, launching two Eagles into the national spotlight as Storytellers Lab ambassadors shaping tomorrow’s media landscape.
“It will allow us, in a manner of speaking, to bring these people back to life,” Johnson said. “People in the community who were important and contributed to the community.”
Grammy-winning multi-instrumentalist, composer and conductor Derrick Hodge will lead a masterclass at NCCU on Friday, Jan. 24, at 2 p.m. in the B.N. Duke Complex Jazz Band Room.
NCCU will operate under Condition 1 (Reduced Operations) of the Adverse Weather and Emergency Event Policy on Friday, Jan. 10, beginning at noon (12 p.m.), through Saturday, Jan. 12, at 11:59 a.m.
The commission is dedicated to enhancing legal education by evaluating ABA standards, admissions, curricula, student support, clinic operations, bar passage rates and career outcomes.
