The Eagles Nutrition Clinic offers free personalized nutrition counseling, engaging education programs, and community outreach initiatives designed to empower individuals and families to make healthy choices. Whether you are a student, faculty member, or community resident, our team is here to support your journey toward better health — one plate at a time.
Our mission is to provide accessible, evidence-based nutrition services that improve the health and well-being of the NCCU campus and surrounding communities. Through nutrition counseling, education, and community outreach initiatives, we empower individuals and families to make sustainable lifestyle changes.
Who We Are
The Eagles Nutrition Clinic is part of the Department of Nutrition Science at North Carolina Central University. We serve as both a campus and community resource, offering nutrition counseling, wellness education, and community outreach programs to promote healthier lifestyles.
Our Team
Our clinic is led by experienced faculty and who are licensed registered dietitians, and supported by nutrition and dietetics graduate students. Together, we provide individualized care while also engaging the community through workshops, cooking demonstrations, grocery store tours, school visits, and health fairs.

We believe that nutrition is personal, influenced by culture, and it is a primary driver of overall health and well-being. Our approach is rooted in evidence-based practice and community engagement — tailoring care to meet the unique needs of individuals while addressing the broader health of our community.

How to Schedule an Appointment
Appointments are available for NCCU students, staff, and community members.
We expect the clinic to reopen in January 2026.
During your first visit, you will meet with a registered dietitian. Together, you will review your health history, dietary habits, and goals. You will leave with practical recommendations and a personalized plan. While in-person visits are strongly recommended, we do offer virtual consultations as well. Follow-up sessions are available for continued support.
Nothing. All nutrition services are free!
Initial sessions are typically 60 minutes; follow-ups are 30 minutes.
NCCU students, faculty/staff, and community residents can use the clinic.
No! You do not need insurance, nor will your insurance be billed.
We are proud to extend our services beyond the campus.
