Homecoming 2026: Know Before You Go

All vehicles parked on University property must be positioned with the rear license plate facing the parking lot’s travel lane. As the State of North Carolina does not require vehicles to display a front license plate, vehicles must pull forward into parking spaces rather than back into spaces.

This requirement supports consistent and efficient parking enforcement across campus. Vehicles backed into parking spaces may be subject to citation or other enforcement action.
 

A limited number of on-campus ADA-accessible spaces in Latham Parking Deck will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis for $25 and can be purchased at the deck kiosk. Use the entrance location at 1757 Lincoln St.

Limited first-come, first-served parking on Eagle Campus Drive will be exclusively available for NCCU Society of Golden Eagles members.

Football season ticket holders will be able to park on campus with a valid game-day parking pass.

Off-campus game-day parking is available at:

• Durham Chapel Hill Street Garage (326 E. Chapel Hill St.)
• Durham Centre Parking Garage (300 W. Morgan St.)
• Corcoran Street Garage (110 Corcoran St.)
• Durham Technical Community College (1637 E. Lawson St.)
• Sheraton Imperial Hotel (4700 Emperor Blvd.; Golden Eagles only via Alumni Relations)

Shuttle service will operate from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., running between these locations and campus. Service will be provided via the Ultimate Homecoming Experience Shuttle. The location of the shuttle can be tracked via PassioGo. Drop-off and pickup for the Ultimate Homecoming Experience Shuttle route will be Lawson Street and S. Alston Avenue.

Bus service schedules are subject to change based on passenger volume at each off-campus parking location.

Roundtrip fare is $5 per rider and can be purchased by credit card from a transportation representative equipped with a reader at each pick-up location. Riders will receive a wristband upon purchase, which will serve as their pass for return service.

Return shuttles to off-campus locations will begin after halftime of the football game and will be stationed at the same drop-off locations. Trips to the NCCU campus will end at 2:30 p.m.

External golf carts and motorcycles are not permitted on campus.

ADA service will be available at all shuttle locations. To schedule ADA transportation, call the Transportation Dispatch Office at 919-530-5139 or email [email protected] at least 48 hours in advance.

Due to high call volume on game day, reservations should be made at least two (2) hours before pickup. ADA shuttles will only service designated pick-up and drop-off locations and off-campus parking locations; all other requests are subject to denial.

City street parking is welcomed at Dunbar Street, Price Avenue, Massey Avenue, Linwood Avenue, Martha Street, Burlington Avenue and Hope Avenue. However, please be mindful of all street signs in these areas.

On October 10, Fayetteville Street, between Elmira Avenue and Lawson Street, will be closed from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the parade. Lawson and Cecil streets (between Fayetteville Street and Alston Avenue) will close at 6 a.m. for the football game.

Please use Apex Highway/Alston Avenue and S. Roxboro Street to access campus.  

Lawson and Cecil streets will remain closed until after the football game.

If you're planning to use Uber, Lyft, Uber Eats or other delivery services, please note that the designated drop-off and pick-up locations are:

• North side: Bus stop area, near corner of Concord and Lawson streets.
• South side: Burger King at Alston Avenue and Cecil Street.
