Students met with Costa Rican police, visited a jail and heard from a lawyer who practices immigration and civil law. They also spent four hours a day in a Spanish language school.
“It will allow us, in a manner of speaking, to bring these people back to life,” Johnson said. “People in the community who were important and contributed to the community.”
