Applications for the Distance Education Summer session are now available for UNC system and visiting (undergraduate and graduate) students. Registration for summer sessions will commence on March 18, 2026, for current NCCU, UNC system, and visiting students. Current NCCU Distance Education Students

If you need to register for the summer 2026 session or make schedule adjustments, you can do so through Self-Service Banner (Banner SSB) after meeting with your advisor. Please reach out to your advisor to schedule an appointment to select or adjust your summer courses. For students in University College, your advisor will initiate contact with you. A list of advisors is available in myEOL for your convenience.

Visiting/Summer Undergraduate Students

Individuals seeking to earn academic credit, with undergraduate students eligible for up to 12 semester hours, who are not currently admitted to NCCU or are not enrolled in a degree-seeking program, have the option to enroll as visiting students.

Visiting/Summer Student Requirements:

Please note: Visiting students are not eligible for financial aid. If you are attending North Carolina Central University for the summer term exclusively and have inquiries regarding financial assistance, kindly reach out to your home institution.

UNC System Students

Currently enrolled degree-seeking part-time and full-time UNC system students are permitted to register for online courses as visiting students. Please complete the appropriate visiting student application:

  • Late registration begins: May 19, 2026, with a late fee
  • Classes begin: May 19, 2026

Summer II 2026

  • Late registration begins: June 25, 2026, with a late fee
