Pathways to Practice is NCCU School of Law’s academic externship program, designed to bridge classroom learning with real-world legal practice. Through attorney supervised field placements and a companion seminar course, students earn academic credit while developing the practical skills, professional judgment, and ethical foundation necessary for successful legal careers.
Students work alongside experienced attorneys and judges on meaningful legal matters while participating in a faculty-led seminar that encourages reflection, professional growth, and the integration of legal theory with practice.
