Danai Fannin
Associate Professor, Communication Sciences and Disorders
Danai Kasambira Fannin, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, F-ASHA, is an associate professor at NCCU and adjunct associate professor in Duke University School of Medicine’s Department of Head and Neck Surgery and Communication Sciences. Her training encompasses the study of typical and atypical communication development, caregiver-child communication, intersectionality and disability, and early identification of autism and late talking. Her clinical fellowship in public schools serving predominantly bilingual students from under-resourced areas laid the groundwork for a research career focused on timely assessment and intervention for children with developmental delays and disabilities.
