North Carolina Central University (NCCU) announced a gift of $9.4 million from technology and networking hardware company Cisco Systems Inc., the company’s largest gift to any HBCU.

Obed Keelson will receive $11,000, along with guidance and coaching from IBM experts while he conducts research on semiconductors.

The festivities will commence on March 14 at 10 a.m., marking a significant advancement in the school's academic offerings.
