NCCU has a well-defined, thoroughly practiced notification system to ensure those who need to know about a positive test result or close contact are notified in a manner that protects, to the extent possible, confidentiality and ensures that information disclosed is factual, appropriate, and does not lead to unnecessary panic.
NCCU has employed the [email protected] email that is used exclusively to notify campus of important COVID-19 information. Please watch for emails from this address and read fully to be sure you are current on all of the current campus protocols.
Some important reminders about COVID-19 communication on campus:
- NCCU partners with Apex Solutions to ensure that those who need to know about a positive test result or close contact are notified.
- The Office of Student Accessibility Services notifies instructors when students will not be in class and helps arrange for online coursework. Instructors can also retrieve COVID student accommodation letters through the Accommodate portal.
- NCCU employees are prohibited from disclosing to students or other employees any COVID information they may receive from students or colleagues. Failure to follow this protocol violates the NCCU COVID-19 Community Standards.
- Please remember that being in the same building or room with a COVID-19 positive person does NOT necessarily require you to be notified or quarantined.
