The chart below represents North Carolina Central University faculty, staff or students who have known, confirmed cases of COVID-19, have been present on campus in recent weeks and could have presented a risk of exposure to other members of the University community. All persons determined to have exposure risk are formally contacted individually with further details by the Department of Environmental Health and Safety. The chart is updated on a weekly basis each Monday. This data reflects the cumulative positive confirmed cases at NCCU since July 1, 2020.
Please note: The chart does not include individuals who may have confirmed cases but have not reported to campus in the past 14 days or individuals who are self-quarantining without a confirmed diagnosis.
This information is based on cases reported to the University and verified by the Student Health Center and the Department of Human Resources.
Privacy Statement
To protect individuals’ private health information, NCCU will not identify employees or students diagnosed with COVID-19. Additionally, as required, the university follows confidentiality guidelines and directives set forth in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).

To report a positive COVID-19 test result or close contact with a known COVID-19 positive person:
- Students: 919-370-0901 or 919-530-3219 and select option "3"
- Faculty and Staff: 919-530-3219 and select option “2”
NCCU follows CDC recommendations for COVID-19 case management as detailed in the COVID-19 Case Management document.
Family or others may notify for employees who are hospitalized or otherwise incapacitated.
