Join us for the 6th Annual Graduate Student Success and Wellness (GSSW) Conference to be hosted by North Carolina Central University School of Graduate Studies on June 67, 2024 in Durham, North Carolina.

Check-in and registration will take place from 12 to 1 p.m. on June 6 (location announcement is forthcoming).

The Future of Graduate Success and Mental Health

The conference theme is "Navigating New Paths: The Future of Graduate Success and Mental Health." This year we will be introducing a table talk discussion with the theme "Take the L.E.A.D."

Friday, June 7, 2024:

9 a.m.: Panel presentation
10:10 a.m.: Day 2: Morning breakout sessions

Information for Conference Attendees

The Graduate Student Success and Wellness Conference is a collaboration between Appalachian State University, Virginia Tech, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, East Tennessee State University and other regional partners. This year’s planning members are the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, East Tennessee State University, North Carolina Central University, Duke University and Appalachian State University.

Designed for Graduate School Professionals

The conference is designed as an opportunity for graduate school professionals who provide support and services to graduate students to come together and share their successes and challenges. It is a great time to network, exchange ideas and support one another in our shared purpose. Graduate students are highly encouraged to attend!

Looking for Speaking Opportunities?

We are looking to showcase talents on campus within our own graduate programs and want you to share your knowledge and skills. Are you a graduate school professor, staff, administrator, or student? Serve as a GSSW conference breakout session speaker or a timekeeper/facilitator or be part of a panel discussion.

Registration

  • This year’s registration fee is $125, payable via check, money order or credit card.
  • The conference will begin at noon on June 6 and conclude after 1 p.m. on June 7.
  • Regular registration is open through May 24, 2024.
  • Late registration applies after May 24, 2024.
  • On-site registration will be allowed.
