North Carolina Central University (NCCU) officials are closely monitoring the light wintry event expected to impact central North Carolina early on Friday, Dec. 5. NCCU will operate under Condition 1 (Reduced Operations) of the Adverse Weather and Emergency Event Policy on Friday, Dec. 5, beginning at midnight, until 11:59 p.m. All final exams scheduled for Dec. 5 will take place virtually.

1. Purpose

The purpose of this regulation is to provide guidance for emergency purchases.

2. Scope

This regulation applies to all faculty and staff procuring goods.

3. Emergency Purchases

3.1 The University is required to report emergency purchases exceeding $10,000 to the North Carolina Division of Purchase and Contract prior to making purchases.

3.2 The University’s Purchasing Department or Vice Chancellor for Financial Affairs has sole authority on campus for entering into contracts to secure all emergency materials.
