1. Outdoor (Eagle Venture) Program Rules

1.1 Program Overview

The Outdoor (Eagle Venture) Program is an off-campus component of Recreation and Wellness. Through this program, NCCU students can participate in a variety of outdoor adventure trips. Excursions will have limited capacity and may require a charge. A waiver must be completed by each participant for every adventure.

1.2 Reservations

1.2.1 Patrons must register for each event through the Do Sports Easy system.
1.2.2 Any charges associated with an event are due at the time of registration.
1.2.3 Reservations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
1.2.4 Specific instructions will be provided for each trip, including departure times, items to bring, and other important details to assist with planning.

1.3 Cancellations and Refunds

1.3.1 Patrons are responsible for understanding the cancellation and refund policy for each trip.
1.3.2  Cancellations must be submitted at least 10 business days before the trip departure date to receive a refund.
1.3.3  Cancellations made after this deadline are not eligible for a refund.
1.3.4  Cancellation requests must be submitted to [email protected].
1.3.5   If the Outdoor Program cancels a trip, patrons will receive a full refund within 15 business days.

1.4 Eligibility

1.4.1 Outdoor Program trips and events are open to currently enrolled NCCU students.
1.4.2 Faculty and staff may be eligible to participate in certain trips.
1.4.3 All participants must be at least 18 years of age.

1.5 Alcohol, Tobacco, and Drugs

1.5.1 In alignment with the mission to provide safe and healthy outdoor recreation experiences, alcohol and illegal drugs are strictly prohibited.
1.5.2 Consumption and/or possession of alcohol or drugs during an Eagle Venture trip or event will be addressed through the appropriate NCCU authorities.
1.5.3 The use of tobacco products is prohibited.

1.6 Travel

1.6.1 All trip participants are required to use the transportation provided by the Outdoor Program.
1.6.2 Personal vehicles may not be used.
