1. Purpose

The Outdoor Recreational Complex features a multipurpose turf field and an outdoor track, providing space for a wide variety of activities and events. This facility is a shared resource, supporting programs from Recreation and Wellness, Athletics, and Academic departments.

The complex is primarily designated for NCCU students, faculty, and staff. However, members of the Eagle Community may reserve the spaces. Individuals or groups not affiliated with NCCU must submit a reservation request through the 1910 Bookings platform. Please note that all policies must be followed and NCCU reserves the right to deny access, and violators are subject to prosecution.

2. Outdoor Recreational Complex Rules

2.1.1 Access and Check-In

  • Patrons are required to use their mobile phone to scan in with Recreation and Wellness staff.
  • Individuals who refuse to comply may be asked to leave the premises.

2.1.2 Reservations

  • Only advisors of student organizations and NCCU departments may reserve the space through the 1910 Booking system.
  • All non-affiliated groups must also submit reservation requests through the 1910 Booking system.

2.1.3 General Patron Expectations

  • Patrons must follow all established policies.
  • Pets are not permitted except for service animals.
  • The consumption of alcoholic beverages and the use of drugs or tobacco products are prohibited.
  • Patrons suspected of being under the influence or violating policies will be asked to leave immediately.
  • In the event of inclement weather, the Outdoor Complex will close, and patrons must vacate the premises.
  • Failure to follow policies may result in removal from the facility or campus.
  • Bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, and similar equipment are not allowed on the track.
  • Patrons are expected to keep the area clean and free of trash and debris.
  • Glass containers are prohibited on the track and turf field.
  • The use of vulgar or inappropriate language is prohibited.

2.1.4 Outdoor Track

  • The track is reserved exclusively for running and track-related events.
