Visitor and Vendor Parking Decals

A valid NCCU parking decal must always be properly displayed in all vehicles when parked on University property. Failure to display a decal or misuse of a decal may result in fines, booting, towing, and/or loss of campus parking privileges. Vehicles displaying a permit must be registered.

Parking decals are the property of NCCU Parking Services. Decals may not be sold, given away, transferred, or borrowed. The decal holder on record is responsible for all violations. If you choose to purchase a parking decal, it is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with campus parking regulations and NC state laws for motorized vehicle operators.

To purchase a Visitor or Vendor Decal, please come to the Parking Office with your vehicle tag information and receipt of payment from the Cashier’s office located on the bottom floor of the Shepard Administration Building (the building behind the statue). The parking office is located at the bottom of the Eagle Landing Residence Hall. Both offices are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Contractors and vendors:

• $10 daily
• $50 monthly
• $350 annually

Visitors:

• $10 daily

Metered Parking at NCCU via ParkMobile

NCCU offers contactless metered parking through ParkMobile in designated zones — all managed via the ParkMobile app or website.

ParkMobile Zones on Campus

ParkMobile applies to two main areas:

• Nelson Street, fronting the Miller-Morgan Building
• Church parking lot at Formosa Avenue and Fayetteville Street

Signs and meter stickers display zone numbers — each in the 5000–5003 range. You must enter the correct zone number to start a valid session which is displayed on signage near the designated area.

Getting Started

1. Download the ParkMobile app (iOS and Android) or visit the website.
2. Register an account — there is no cost to sign up.
3. Add your vehicle (up to five plates supported).
4. Locate your zone number on onsite signs before parking.
5. Pay online for your desired duration.
6. Extensions are allowed via the app, subject to the maximum meter time. Unfortunately, sessions cannot be paused or canceled once started. View the Single Space Parking Meter Instructions.

Payments and Fees

• Parking fee: Standard hourly rate (as posted on signs/meters)
• Accepted payment methods: Credit/debit cards, PayPal, American Express, Discover, and ParkMobile wallet.​​​​​​

Metered Parking at Latham Parking Deck

Metered parking is also available in the Latham Parking Deck, located near the heart of campus. This location provides convenient short-term parking for campus visitors, students, and event attendees.

Important Details

• A kiosk payment option is available at the entrance for those who prefer to pay on-site.
• Parking rates may vary based on scheduled campus events, such as athletic games, concerts, or university ceremonies.
• Real-time parking options and pricing are visible via the entry kiosk, allowing drivers to make informed decisions before initiating a session.

Campus parking officers verify payments by checking your license plate plus the zone number through their handheld devices — no printed receipts are needed.
