Aza (Stephen) Allsop, M.D., Ph.D., Class of 2010, a student athlete (tennis), received his Doctor of Philosophy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Doctor of Medicine from Harvard University. Dr. Allsop is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale University.
Charity Battle Rier, D.D.S., Class of 2006, received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Meharry Medical College. Dr. Battle Rier is currently a registered dental hygienist at Smilebuiderz LLC in Harrisburg, PA.
Chantal Bodkin-Clarke, Ph.D. Class of 2009, received a B.S. from George Mason, an M.S. degree from NCCU, and a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University in Molecular Biology. Dr. Bodkin Clarke is currently a biology teacher at Lake Mary Preparatory School.
George Brackett, Jr., B.S., Class of 2007, is a materials manager at Triangle Orthopaedic Associates in Durham, NC.
David Bullock, Ph.D., Class of 2014, was a J.D. Clement Early College student. Dr. Bullock earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from North Carolina State University and is currently a lecturer in the Department of Biological and Biomedical Sciences at NCCU.
Tierra Butler, Pharm.D., Class of 2011, graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Pharmacy. Dr. Butler is currently a consumer safety officer at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Timberly Butler Major, M.D., Class of 2011, graduated from Wake Forest School of Medicine; Dr. Butler is currently an obstetrician/gynecologist practicing obstetrics and gynecology in Marietta, GA.
Eisha Clyde, M.S., Class of 2015, is a clinical immunology scientist and is also the founder of HBCU STEMulUS, a nonprofit organization based in Raleigh, NC.
Itaevia Curry-Chisolm, M.D., Ph.D., Class of 2018, is a medical student at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
Biana Davis, Ph.D., Class of 2018, is an HHMI Gilliam Fellow and recipient of the Cook Award. Dr. Davis recently received her Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology from Duke University.
Kerstin De La Torre, M.D., Class of 2015, was a double Biology and Chemistry major. Dr. De La Torre received her medical degree from Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. De La Torre now works at Riverside Regional Medical Center - Peninsula in Newport News, VA.
Taurus Farrow, D.D.S., Class of 2006, graduated from Howard University School of Dentistry. Dr. Farrow is a board-certified pediatric dentist.
Devin Graham, M.S., Class of 2006, obtained her master's degree in clinical research from Campbell University. She is currently a senior clinical research associate at ICON plc.
Kashif Hall, D.D.S., Class of 2009, earned her doctorate degree in dentistry from Howard University. Dr. Hall is a public health dentist in Greensboro, NC.
Ryan Hampton, M.B.A., Class of 2016, received his Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. Ryan is currently a senior manager at Proviant Therapeutics in RTP, NC.
Jyla Hicks, M.D., Class of 2017, is a former student athlete (basketball). Dr. Hicks received her master's degree and medical doctorate degree from Boston University's Early Medical School Selection Program. Dr. Hicks is currently doing her residency in internal medicine at Boston Medical Center.
Terry Hodge, M.B.A., Class of 2019, 2021, received his Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Duke University - Fuqua School of Business. He is currently a senior compliance specialist at Pfizer.
Micheal Hopkins, Ph.D., Class of 2018, graduated from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology. Dr Hopkins was a recipient of both an NSF GRFP and HHMI Gilliam fellowship, where his research focused on the molecular mechanisms of a novel neuronal membrane proteasome complex.
Breanna Jeffcoat, Ph.D. Candidate, Class of 2019, is a doctoral candidate in Pathology and Translational Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) School of Medicine.
Kendall Kennedy, M.D., Class of 2015, son of Brian and Kimberly Kennedy, who are double eagles (both NCCU undergraduate and law school graduates), graduated from Morehouse School of Medicine. Dr. Kennedy is currently a pediatric resident in Northwestern, IL.
Tamina Kienka, M.D., Ph.D., Class of 2015, is a student athlete (tennis). Tamina started research as an undergraduate student, worked briefly as a clinical trials associate with Quintiles, was a research technician at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and is now a graduate student at Harvard Medical School.
Irisyunuel Lopez Hernandes, M.S., Class of 2019, received her Master's of Science in Biomedical Science from Duke University. Iris is currently an emergency medical technician at Duke Hospital and in the process of applying for medical school admission.
Brittany Lynch, M.S., Class of 2015, received a Master of Bioinformatics from New York University and a Master of Science in Computer Science from City University of Seattle. Brittany is a program manager for Global Services Operations at Google.
Andrew Lyons, II, D.D.S., Class of 2006, graduated from Meharry Medical College. Dr. Andrew Lyons and his wife, Dr. Joya Lyons, are co-owners of Smile Savvy Family and Cosmetic Dentistry in Charlotte, NC.
Sherelle McCoy Morrison, O.D., Class of 2007, went to Pennsylvania College of Optometry and is currently practicing as an optometrist specializing in pediatric care in Charlotte, NC.
Marie McGee Hargrove, Ph.D., Class of 2005, received her Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology from East Carolina University. Dr. McGee Hargrove is currently a human safety project expert in toxicology at Sygenta in Greensboro, NC.
Lauren Mullis, M.P.H., M.S., Class of 2018, 2021, earned her master's degree in public health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is currently a Pharm.D. candidate at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Philomena Nwanze, M.D., Class of 2018, received her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. She is currently a family medicine/psychiatry resident at the University of Cincinnati.
Derek Pantiel, D.P.M., Class of 2007, graduated from Kent State University in Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Pantiel is currently president of Summit Podiatry in Wilmington, NC. He is also the secretary of the North Carolina Foot and Ankle Society and the NC delegate for the American Podiatric Medical Association.
Tiffany Parms, M.P.H., Class of 2009, received her master's degree in Epidemiology from the University of Arizona. Tiffany is currently a senior manager at Reynolds American Inc in Winston-Salem, NC.

Cierra Roach Gerald, M.D., Class of 2009, attained the rank of captain in the US Army. Dr. Roach-Gerald received her medical degree from Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Dr. Roach Gerald is a board-certified pediatrician currently working as a pediatrician in Danville, VA.
Jamie Rogers, D.O., Class of 2018, is a former student athlete (volleyball). Dr. Jamie Rogers graduated from VCOM Carolinas - Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is currently a resident at the University of South Florida - Morsani.

Naima Stennett, M.D., Class of 2010, 2013, graduated from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. A former student athlete (tennis), Dr. Stennett is currently a primary care sports medicine physician at the University of South Florida.
Annika Webb, M.D., Class of 2009, received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School. Dr. Webb completed her residency in pediatrics and anesthesiology at Johns Hopkins University before completing her fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Duke University.
