North Carolina Central University (NCCU) received a clean audit with zero findings from the North Carolina Office of the State Auditor for fiscal year 2025. This is the first clean audit the university has had since fiscal year 2022, a result of a comprehensive new financial structure put in place over the past 18 months.

“This clean audit is a testament to the effectiveness of the many difficult, yet necessary decisions made to better organize our financial operations,” said NCCU Chancellor Karrie G. Dixon. “We are on the right path to realize an essential objective from our new five-year strategic plan, Soaring to New Heights: Vision 2030, namely, to strengthen our financial stewardship, accountability and transparency at North Carolina Central University.”

“North Carolina Central University has posted a welcomed turnaround from the financial errors previously reported by the North Carolina Office of the State Auditor. This year’s financial statement audit is a step in the right direction toward managing the University’s finances in compliance with accounting standards,” wrote State Auditor David Boliek in the auditor’s transmittal.
