DURHAM, NC - North Carolina Central University (NCCU) has launched a graduation assistance program, funded by a $750,000 anonymous gift. The program will provide micro-grants to undergraduates in their senior year with unpaid tuition and fees, ensuring they can graduate on time.

Funds will be disbursed before each graduation ceremony in the spring, summer and fall semesters, with 100% of the funds going directly to qualifying seniors.

“This generous gift enables us, as a university, to remove critical financial hurdles for our students,” said Chancellor Karrie G. Dixon. “With this support, we are equipping our Eagles to soar higher and achieve their academic and professional aspirations without delay.”

Institutional Advancement Vice Chancellor Susan L. Hester added: “These micro-grants will not only impact the lives of our students but also their families and communities. This is an investment in the success of Eagle leaders who are destined to change the world.”

The program will be managed by NCCU’s Office of Scholarship and Student Aid. This initiative reinforces NCCU’s commitment to fostering success and creating transformative opportunities for its student body.
