Student Philanthropy Committee

Welcome to the NCCU Student Philanthropy Committee’s crowdfunding page, which facilitates philanthropic support among NCCU students. Philanthropy at North Carolina Central University is the practice of social responsibility that seeks to positively impact the human condition through the provision of time, talent, and treasure. Philanthropy includes, but is not limited to, the act of volunteerism, fiscal contribution, stewardship, sustainability, and advocacy.

During your undergraduate career, you create rich memories and share experiences to last a lifetime. The quality of an Eagle education and all the opportunities received directly relate to contributions from alumni, parents, and friends of the University. As an NCCU student, you can continue the tradition of paying it forward through individual gifts, fundraising, and volunteerism. Each year, you will be asked to make a small donation relating to your class year to develop various opportunities, including scholarships, programming, and beautification projects, so that future Eagles know precisely what “In Truth and Service” means.

Class of 2021

Begin the tradition of giving back to our soon-to-be alma mater by making a gift of $20.21 to the NCCU Student Fund today. In the past four years, we were part of organizations, clubs, academic programs, and athletic teams that have made a significant difference in our lives. It’s now time to show how grateful we are by ensuring that future generations have the same experience. Voting will take place during the Spring semester on how our senior legacy gift will be used at NCCU. As a thank you and as recognition of your generosity, donors will be given a special maroon-and-gray philanthropy cord to wear at commencement.

By making a gift of $20.22 to the NCCU Student Fund this year and next year, you have the ability to ensure that future Eagles have that same great experience as you’ve had. If you donate this year and next year, you will be given a maroon-and-gray philanthropy cord to wear at commencement. During our senior year, we will vote on how the Class of 2022 will leave a legacy.

An annual gift of $20.23 to the NCCU Student Fund will educate all future Eagles on the importance of giving back. Your donation over the next three years has the ability to create something magical at NCCU for future Eagles. During the Spring semester of our senior year, a class vote will take place on how our legacy gifts will be used at NCCU. As a thank you and as recognition of your generosity, donors will be given a special maroon-and-gray philanthropy cord to wear at commencement.

Class of 2024

Class Act is NCCU’s Student Giving Campaign; the campaign is led by our NCCU Student Philanthropy Champions. Each academic year, students at NCCU are encouraged to make a gift in honor of their graduation year. For the class of 2024, this gift consists of a contribution of $20.24 to the NCCU Student Fund. The Student Funds are collected over four years to make a senior class gift presentation at commencement. Those that donate annually will be given a special maroon-and-gray philanthropy cord to wear at commencement.
