The North Carolina Central Law Review’s will host its 48th Annual Symposium, "Environmental Justice: Roots, Rights, and Legal Remedies," on Friday, March 20, 2026, in the Great Hall.
The opening panel, “Where Environmental Justice Began: Communities, Resistance and Change,” will explore the legal, social, economic and policy dimensions of environmental justice with a focus on impacted communities and systemic reform. Panelists will provide an overview of environmental justice, examine its historical foundations, assess the current legal landscape and discuss how environmental justice intersects with other areas of law.
The symposium will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
