Jazz Studies Faculty in Holiday Concert
NCCU Jazz faculty celebrates the holiday season in song.
The event will feature the entire Jazz Studies faculty, with guest performers from NCCU Jazz alum and student members.
The selections will be drawn from their celebrated CD release, Yule Be Swingin'. The Sharp Nine Gallery is a cozy listening room and one of the premier jazz venues in the Durham area. It is also a favorite performance spot of the faculty, frequently hosting the student, alum and faculty groups emanating from NCCU Jazz Studies and the surrounding jazz community.
The evening will feature NCCU Jazz's artist-in-residence pianist Joey Calderazzo and other very special surprise guests. Advanced ticket purchase is highly recommended; the room sells out quickly.
The group will perform 2 sets; one at 7 p.m. and one at 9 p.m.
Tickets are $25 (with limited ticket availability for students at $15). Buy tickets now.
