Join us to commemorate Juneteenth!
On Monday, June 19, from 1 to 4:30 p.m., North Carolina Central University's (NCCU) School of Law Social Justice and Racial Equity Institute (SJREI) and the North Carolina Public Defender’s Association will commemorate the Juneteenth holiday with a film screening of "Racist Roots," followed by a panel discussion moderated by Irving Joyner, NCCU law professor and Charles Hamilton Houston Endowed Chair. The panelists include:
- North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Anita Earls
- North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Michael Morgan
- The Honorable Gregory A Weeks (retired superior court judge)
The event will take place in the NCCU Student Center.
