Yang Liu
Dr. Yang Liu is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Information Systems at North Carolina Central University (NCCU) and the associate director of the Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Research (LAIER). His research interests include artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), natural language processing (NLP), social media mining, public health monitoring and pandemic surveillance, human-centered AI, and quantum computing.
As an IBM-HBCU Quantum Center faculty fellow, he explores the potential applications of quantum computing and actively contributes to workforce development in quantum information science and engineering (QISE). He has actively served on multiple Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) conference program committees and has been a reviewer for over 20 distinguished journals and conferences.
