Vincent R Price
Dr. Vincent Price is a professional writing consultant in the NCCU Writing and Speaking Studio and an educator with more than 15 years of experience teaching and supporting writers across secondary and higher education. He holds a Ph.D. in Teacher Education with a concentration in English Education and has taught high school English and French, university teacher preparation courses, and graduate-level learners. His scholarly writing has appeared in publications including English Education, the Journal of Negro Education, and Changing English.
His approach to writing consultation reflects his background as an educator: rather than simply helping writers improve a particular document, he works to help them better understand their writing, recognize patterns, and develop strategies they can carry into future projects.
Dr. Price’s areas of expertise include graduate and doctoral writing, academic writing, organization and development, clarity and concision, paragraph development, synthesis and literature reviews, APA style and citations, and revision. He particularly enjoys working with graduate students and professionals who are navigating the expectations of academic writing, helping them communicate complex ideas with greater clarity, specificity, analysis, and connection. His work is grounded in the belief that meaningful writing support begins with listening to the writer and helping each person develop greater confidence and agency in their own writing process.
