Ta'Keyah M Holder
Ms. Holder serves as the director of Graduate Admissions, Recruitment, and Marketing in the School of Graduate Studies at North Carolina Central University (NCCU). Ms. Holder is responsible for leading all activities in the areas of marketing, recruitment, admissions and enrollment of graduate students for the School of Graduate Studies, in its mission to provide graduate and professional education to students at NCCU, which will prepare them for pursuing a doctoral degree, employment, and becoming entrepreneurs.
Ms. Holder has worked in higher education for over 8 years, specializing in admissions, recruitment and enrollment and has worked in both undergraduate and graduate admissions. She gained a wealth of knowledge and experience from previous roles at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Georgia State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, before joining NCCU.
Ms. Holder is a native of Smithfield, NC, and earned both a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Public Administration (2013) and a Master of Public Administration (2016) from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where she also became a member of the Pi Alpha Alpha Honor Society.
