Rhonda Raney
Rhonda Raney brings over 25 years of professional experience in both the private and government sectors as a civil trial lawyer, mediator, lobbyist, and agency executive. Throughout her career, she has developed extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution and has served in multiple roles within the mediation process. Her experience includes working as a mediator, representing parties as an attorney in mediation, serving as an agency executive and representative in mediation, and teaching mediation as a professor.
Her professional background includes serving as a partner with the law firm Seitz, Tresher and Raney, deputy director of the North Carolina Bar Association, attorney and lobbyist with the North Carolina Education Law Project, executive director of the North Carolina Justice Center, and deputy secretary of the North Carolina Department of Public Safety. In addition, her professional and civic service, along with her experience as a small business owner, has provided her with valuable leadership, management, and business skills that inform her work in mediation.
Rhonda has also served her profession, local community, and the state through a number of civic and professional affiliations. These include the Florida Bar Association, North Carolina Bar Association, North Carolina Association of Realtors, Capital City Lawyers Association, North Carolina Sentencing and Policy Advisory Commission, North Carolina Victim Compensation Commission, North Carolina Minority Economic Development Advisory Committee, Community Vision, Inc., North Carolina Governor’s Crime Commission, and the Ivy Community Service Foundation.
