Nathan Wymer
Assistant Professor
Nathan Wymer is an assistant professor in the Chemistry and Biochemistry department at North Carolina Central University. His research group uses organic chemistry to solve biological problems. The research group has three main focuses: (1) create conjugate vaccines that are safer, more efficacious, and cheaper; (2) investigate how protein mutations within human populations can affect disease outcomes and treatment options; and (3) develop new methods to transport medicines across the blood-brain barrier in order to target neurological diseases and metastatic cancers.
