Michele L Jones
Michele L Jones is an administrative professional who brings over 30 years of office administration experience to her role, spanning various sectors including academia, non-profits, the private sector, and public utilities. Throughout her extensive career, she has provided high-level support to a diverse array of administrators, such as superintendents, deans, and vice provosts.
Her background at North Carolina Central University is particularly deep. She previously served as the Executive Assistant for the Office of Communications and Marketing, where she supported the Chief Brand Officer. Ms. Jones also formerly served as an Administrative Support Specialist for the Department of Curriculum and Instruction in the School of Education. In these capacities, she enhanced her skills in coordinating executive meetings, managing travel, and preparing complex correspondence and reports while providing top-tier support.
Michele L. Jones returns to the School of Education as the Executive Assistant for the Inclusive Postsecondary Education (IPSE) program at North Carolina Central University (NCCU)--NCCU Thrive. In her current role with the IPSE program, Ms. Jones provides essential day-to-day administrative support to the Director and Thrive program staff. Ms. Jones is recognized by her colleagues as a motivator and a "willing worker" whose varied professional history greatly enhances the IPSE program.
Ms. Jones holds an AAS Degree in Secretarial Science, Executive, from Rowan College of South Jersey. She is also an active and proud alumna of NCCU and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Ms. Jones formerly served on NCCU’s Parent Association as president, served on the Parent Advisory Council and was chairperson of the Outreach Committee. She continues to volunteer to assist during NCCU’s Ultimate Homecoming and is currently secretary of the NCCU Staff Senate.
