Jasmine Johnson
Jasmine Johnson serves as the executive assistant for the Department of Student Access and Success Programs at North Carolina Central University. A dedicated higher education administrator and passionate advocate for educational equity, Jasmine brings a wealth of experience in student support, educational innovation, and institutional advancement.
Her career in education began as a school social worker in Greenville, North Carolina, while completing her Bachelor of Social Work at East Carolina University. With a growing interest in the intersection of education and technology, Jasmine earned a master’s degree in educational innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During her graduate studies, she also obtained two specialized certificates: one in design thinking from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and another in system improvement and implementation research methods from the UNC School of Education.
Jasmine has held key administrative roles in both the UNC School of Government and the Duke University Sanford School of Public Policy, where she supported strategic initiatives and academic programs focused on public service, leadership, and policy development.
Currently, Jasmine is pursuing her Ph.D. in educational leadership, policy, and human development at North Carolina State University. Her research interests include inclusive institutional practices, student success frameworks, and systemic innovation in higher education.
With a deep commitment to supporting access, opportunity, and holistic student development, Jasmine continues to contribute meaningfully to the mission of NCCU and the broader higher education community.
