Domanique McMillan
Domanique McMillan serves as the Associate Director for the TRIO STEM Success Program (SSS-STEM) within the Department of Student Access & Success Programs in the Division of Student Affairs.
In this role, Domanique provides strategic leadership, oversight, and direction for initiatives designed to support first-generation, limited-income, and underrepresented students who are pursuing STEM-related majors in the College of Health & Sciences. Domanique oversees program operations, student success initiatives, and aids in budget management and compliance with U.S. Department of Education regulations, while also overseeing the coordination of workshops, academic support, and experiential learning opportunities that promote persistence and graduation within STEM disciplines.
Domanique brings a wealth of higher education experience in student engagement, leadership development, and college access. Most recently, she served as Program Coordinator for Student Access and Success Programs at North Carolina Central University, where she coordinated daily operations of the federally funded Upward Bound program. In this role, she supported more than 120 high school students annually through academic advising, tutoring, Saturday Academy sessions, and community partnerships that encouraged STEM exploration and college readiness. She also managed program compliance, data reporting, and budgetary oversight.
Before joining NCCU, Domanique held multiple leadership roles at Fayetteville State University, including Student Leadership and Civic Engagement Coordinator and Student Programming Coordinator within the Office of Student Activities Engagement and Leadership. There, she oversaw more than 125 student organizations, directed parent and family programs, spearheaded student volunteerism efforts, led commuter student programs, and created leadership development curricula for the Division of Student Affairs. She also supervised student staff, coordinated student leader training programs, and managed budgets exceeding $200,000.
