Brian Kilgore
Brian J. Kilgore serves as an adjunct instructor in the Department of Criminal Justice at North Carolina Central University. He is a retired law enforcement lieutenant with 28 years of combined experience in policing, criminal investigations, training, and education, along with over ten years of experience teaching criminal justice courses at the collegiate level.
Mr. Kilgore’s professional focus centers on criminal justice instruction, police leadership, and public safety education. His teaching philosophy emphasizes the integration of practical law enforcement experience with academic theory, preparing students to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application. He specializes in courses covering the foundations of criminal justice, policing practices, and ethical decision-making, encouraging critical thinking and professionalism among future justice practitioners.
