Amanda Chambers
Amanda Chambers is an educator, writer, author, and writing professional who believes that strong writers aren’t born; they’re developed. She has spent her career helping students find their voices, strengthen their confidence, and recognize writing as a skill they can continue developing throughout their academic, professional, and personal lives. In addition to working as a writing consultant through NCCU’s Writing Studio for the last 20 years, Amanda also teaches Freshman Comp I and II, American Literature I and II, British Literature I and II, and Black Literature courses as an adjunct instructor at multiple institutions.
Beyond the classroom and Writing Studio, Amanda is the founder of 13 Sunsets Media, LLC and Amanda Rewritten, where she combines her love of education, storytelling, creativity, and meaningful conversation. She is also the author of 14 books across multiple genres and the creator of the digital magazine Life After the Plot Twist. Whether she is working with a student, teaching a class, writing a book, or creating content, the heart of her work remains the same: helping people find the words for what they know, what they’ve experienced, and what they want to say.
