SEAL Student Employment Mission and Vision

Mission 

The Student Engagement and Leadership (SEAL) Student Employment Program is committed to providing meaningful, student-centered employment experiences that foster leadership development, personal growth, and professional readiness. Through structured training, mentorship, and intentional opportunities for advancement, we aim to equip student employees with transferable skills, a strong work ethic, and a sense of civic responsibility. Grounded in the values of service, engagement, and excellence, our program prepares students to thrive in their roles on campus and succeed beyond graduation.

Vision

The Student Engagement and Leadership (SEAL) Student Employment Program strives to cultivate an on-campus work experience that supports the holistic development of NCCU students. Aligned with SEAL’s mission to foster leadership, service, and civic engagement, this program empowers student employees to grow as ethical leaders and active community members. Through professional development, hands-on training in communication, teamwork, and leadership, as well as a tiered structure that promotes growth and advancement, student employees will graduate with the confidence and skills to succeed in the workforce and contribute meaningfully to society.

By participating in the SEAL Student Employment Program, students will be able to:

In this role, you'll greet guests, provide information about campus events and services, manage lost and found, and assist with administrative tasks. You'll also support event operations and help maintain a safe, welcoming, and customer-focused environment for all visitors. Candidates must be detail-driven, able to lift up to 60 lbs., and available for flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.

Brief Description:

Responsibilities include monitoring gaming equipment, enforcing policies, troubleshooting minor issues, maintaining a clean and organized space, and completing shift reports.
