Internship and Volunteer Opportunities with IHSEM
The Institute for Homeland Security and Emergency Management (IHSEM) at North Carolina Central University (NCCU) offers meaningful internship and volunteer opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students interested in careers in homeland security, emergency management, public safety, and related fields.
Through the internship/volunteer program, students gain hands-on experience working alongside practitioners, researchers, and policymakers in the areas of risk assessment, disaster response, emergency planning, continuity of operations, and community resilience. Interns contribute to active projects, assist with program development, and engage in professional development opportunities that prepare them for leadership roles in the public and private sectors.
