The Policies, Regulations, and Rules website (PRR) at North Carolina Central University is a central repository for all of the University's policies, regulations, and rules (PRRs). PRRs are organized by divisions and departments (i.e., functional categories). The PRR site contains information regarding a number of different issues that members of the campus community should review and become familiar with prior to engaging in certain business activities or using certain employee benefits, including travel regulations, family and medical leave, research misconduct, signing University contracts, and retaining and disposing of University business records.
All official Policies of the university must be approved by the Board of Trustees.
Regulations are statements, standards, or procedures that are approved by the chancellor. Lastly, Rules are statements, standards, or procedures approved by an academic or administrative unit or an executive officer. The process for creating a policy, regulation, or rule is set forth in NCCU REG 01.04.08 – Formatting, Adopting and Publishing Policies, Regulations, and Rules (PRR Protocol). All PRRs should be formatted and approved consistent with the PRR protocol. Please carefully review this document prior to creating any new PRR. Also, please consult with your Policy Workgroup team member prior to creating any new PRR.
If you have additional questions after reviewing the PRR Protocol and after consulting with your Policy Workgroup team member, please contact the Office of Legal Affairs at firstname.lastname@example.org or 919-530-6105.
