The Office of Strategic Planning and Assessment provides comprehensive support on all aspects of strategic planning. Moreover, the Office guides all assessment efforts in administrative, academic, and student support areas.
The strategic plan emphasizes the university’s commitment to students at every level of its operation. With a university focus on student success, the plan is accompanied by objectives and measurable strategies that, when implemented, will enhance NCCU as a top-tier institution with a robust and flexible curriculum, innovative research, market-responsive co-curricular programs, and impactful community engagement.
North Carolina Central University (NCCU) collaborated with MGT Consulting to develop a comprehensive strategic plan for 2025–2030. This initiative aimed to chart a clear course for the university's future by engaging the campus community through focus group sessions, community engagement, and a survey. Participation in these activities was vital, as they provided opportunities to share insights and perspectives that helped shape NCCU's strategic priorities.
The mission of the assessment area is to provide methodological support to administrative units, academic programs, and student support services in their assessment efforts. We assist our customers with one-on-one meetings, workshops, and training opportunities. The assessment area values the efforts through which our institution demonstrates compliance with current assessment practices and trends.
