The Physical Education Licensure concentration (Kinesiology B.S.) prepares candidates to teach physical education to public and private school-aged children in grades K–12. Candidates in the teacher education program may earn a Bachelor of Science degree and licensure issued by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI).
The Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) program in its revised form requires that all undergraduate majors meet the Education Preparation Program’s criteria. The PETE program is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and NCDPI.
