Tracy Wright-Gaskins is a principal corporate counsel at Cisco Systems, Inc. In her role, she shapes legal strategies for major U.S. service provider accounts and successfully navigates multimillion-dollar hardware, software licensing, and services negotiations. She recently spearheaded a collaborative effort to develop Cisco’s first Sales Legal AI Guidance Playbook, an innovative resource that enables over 100 attorneys and negotiators to confidently address AI-related issues in customer deals.
Beyond her legal expertise, her commitment to service shines through her extensive legal pro bono and service work. She actively collaborates with NCCU Law career services to recruit diverse talent, empowering students through resume workshops, networking events, and providing internship opportunities through her extensive professional connections.
Selected by Cisco legal leadership as a 2022 LCLD Pathfinder Fellow, she now, as an LCLD alum, mentors 1L law students, cultivating the next generation of legal talent. She also proudly serves as vice president of the NCCU Law Alumni Association, is the corporate counsel section pro bono co-chair for the North Carolina Bar Association, and a board member for the Association of Corporate Counsel Research Triangle Park (RTP) Chapter.
As a proud double Eagle, Tracy earned both her J.D. and M.B.A. from NCCU in 2017. She was recently selected for Leadership North Carolina, a prestigious statewide program recognizing trailblazers across sectors. Tracy’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and community engagement is matched by her dedication to mentoring the next generation and staying actively engaged with her alma mater.
