As a member of the NCCU Army ROTC program, Quenton was commissioned as an Army infantry lieutenant and began active duty service after graduation. In the Army, Quenton completed Airborne, Air Assault and Ranger training and deployed to Baghdad in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2007–2008. He completed his Army service as a captain and became a federal air marshal with the Department of Homeland Security in the New York field office. Quenton was deployed on more than 1 million miles of domestic and international flights, providing the last line of defense against terrorism on American passenger jets. He also served as the lead defensive tactics instructor and aircraft tactics instructor, training law enforcement personnel in in-flight counter-terrorism techniques.
Currently, Quenton serves as a Special Agent in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in Atlanta, GA, where he investigates and apprehends violent offenders to protect communities from drug and gun-related crimes. He believes his work is critical to the success of communities executing their primary function: to provide the space and opportunity for citizens to thrive. Quenton lives in Atlanta with his wife, Dr. Ruth Celestin, and daughter Noémie.
