La Tanta McCrimmon is a senior director at APCO Worldwide, leading the government relations practice in Raleigh, NC. Before joining APCO, Ms. McCrimmon was director of Legislative Affairs for North Carolina's 75th governor, Roy Cooper. She was also the Deputy Director for Government Affairs for the NC Department of Health and Human Services. She works with clients on state and federal government relations, advocacy and public affairs efforts.
McCrimmon brings a deep bench of political and campaign experience, serving as President Joe Biden's North Carolina state director for his 2020 campaign, serving in the office of former Congressman Bob Etheridge, and advising state, local and national campaigns. Ms. McCrimmon graduated from Shaw University and holds an Executive Master's of Public Administration from North Carolina Central University.
