Juantia Applewhite is a nurse practitioner who specializes in adult gerontology, managing chronic conditions in long-term facilities, and a health and wellness enthusiast. She completed two bachelor’s degrees, one in health education from NC Central University and one in nursing from Winston-Salem State University. Continuing to excel, she later completed two master’s degrees, one in health administration from University of Phoenix and one in nursing from Walden University. She holds two national board certifications with the NC Board of Nursing and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Her passion for education in health and wellness allows her the opportunity to provide health workshops for the community, specializing in chronic medical conditions, lifestyle choices, and medication management.
In her spare time, Ms. Applewhite teaches aerobic exercise to empower women to be the best "fit” versions of themselves. She truly believes that every woman should embody strength, courage and the ability to achieve life goals. Overall, she enjoys using her passion for serving as a "Health Hero," educating her patients and the community on creating and living a healthy lifestyle.
