India Y. Ali is an attorney, community advocate and native of Decatur, Georgia. The daughter of Fareed Ali and the late Hajjah Gladys Ali, she is also a loving wife and mother of two.
Ali brings a combination of legal expertise, business insight and leadership to her work. She played Division I basketball at Hofstra University before earning both her Juris Doctor and M.B.A. from North Carolina Central University (NCCU). She is licensed to practice law in Georgia and Texas.
As the founder of her own law practice, Ali handles a variety of legal matters, with a primary focus on trusts and estate planning. Her mission is to help African American families engage in planning, preserve wealth and build generational legacies that strengthen communities.
Rooted in her Islamic values, Ali is committed to service and financial philanthropy. She serves on the boards of four nonprofit organizations — three based in Decatur — and acts as vice chair of the Atlanta Masjid Community Foundation. She also is a girls’ basketball coach at Mohammed Schools of Atlanta.
