Anngelica Mohabir-Wilson’s was born to Caribbean parents, in New York City’s Old Brooklyn neighborhood of Bedford–Stuyvesant, which instilled a fierce resilience, deep cultural pride and an unshakable work ethic that continues to shape her personal and professional journey. Mohabir-Wilson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a concentration in English from North Carolina Central University (NCCU), as well as a Master of Arts in Interior Design from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia.
Following her five years in North Carolina, she moved to the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia (DMV) area to pursue her passion as an interior designer. She is a 2023 Boutique 18 Award Recipient, 2022–2023 What’s New, What’s Next Ambassador, a member of the American Society of Interior Designers and International Interior Design Association, and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
After her time in the DMV, Mohabir-Wilson decided to return to North Carolina to build a life with her husband and welcome their newborn baby. In working across multiple project types, from affordable housing, community outreach, hospitality design, senior living, design abroad and more, she is driven by how different project types can solve problems across sectors. She is intentional about designing spaces that honor the community story.
Anngelica Mohabir-Wilson is a devoted mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend, known for making everyone she encounters feel seen, loved and uplifted through her vibrant spirit.
