ITS Awards and Recognition

Thank you for visiting the Information Technology Services (ITS) Awards and Recognition page.

The ITS Awards program is designed to recognize full-time ITS employees and ITS student interns/employees who have gone above and beyond the call of duty. We encourage all members of the ITS Division (directors, team leads, and employees), as well as other NCCU employees and students, to submit a nomination.

The customer service award is an award that recognizes outstanding service for customers and clients.

Vehicle

  • A customer survey that was generated from a closed Helpdesk ticket.

Criteria

  • Full-time ITS employee 

Metric

  • Customer written feedback

The innovation award is an award that celebrates new ideas, methods, and solutions to existing challenges and opportunities. 

Vehicle

  • A nomination form from a current NCCU employee or student.

Criteria

  • A new product or service that was rolled out to the campus via a project involving members of ITS.

Metric

  • Observation. The innovation has solved a problem, improved efficiency, or made a meaningful impact on the campus.

The rising star award is an award that recognizes an exceptional contribution and impact of a new employee.

Vehicle

  • Director’s nomination

Criteria

  • A full-time ITS employee who has been employed for 12 months or less.

The spotlight award is a director’s award that recognizes the outstanding contribution from within a department.

The student employee award is an award that celebrates an exceptional student intern or employee who has made a sizable contribution.

Vehicle

  • Nomination from team leads and full-time ITS employees.

Criteria

  • A full-time NCCU student who is working with ITS as an employee or intern.

Metric

  • Observation (team leads and full-time employees)

Nomination Process

To nominate a deserving ITS employee or NCCU student intern/employee within the Division of ITS for work completed during the 2025-2026 academic year (August 2025 through May 2026), please complete the nomination form by Friday, June 19, 2026. The winners will be announced at the annual ITS summer retreat
