NCCU complies with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), which requires all colleges and universities that participate in federal financial aid programs to maintain and disclose campus safety and security related policies and crime statistics for crimes that occur on and near their respective campuses.

The goal of the entire NCCU community is to remain in compliance with the Clery Act and to be totally transparent when reporting crimes.
The Stop Campus Hazing Act amended the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act to establish additional hazing prevention, reporting, and disclosure requirements for colleges and universities participating in federal student financial assistance programs.
Under the Act, North Carolina Central University publishes a Campus Hazing Transparency Report identifying recognized or established student organizations that have been found responsible for violating the University’s standards of conduct relating to hazing.
